Never been a fan of three-spoke wheels. Always thought the New Edge SN95 Mustang ones looked goofy and every aftermarket design I’ve seen looked terribly cheap and out of place.

That 9-3 Turbo X, though. I realize some people would probably consider that a six-spoke design, but those are pretty clearly three double-spokes imo. They look very sharp.

Anyone else have some good-looking three-spokes?

3 doubles=6.

3 spokes are always terrible.

Agreed, there are 6 spokes on that “3 spoke” wheel.

Functionally six.

Aesthetically three.

They fit the HotWheels look really well. I can’t think of another car I’d be willing to put them on, though.

Also, while they look purpley , they match the canopy, interior, and Ford logo, which are definitely all blue.

not sure why i can’t upload an image... but the only 2 cars i’ve seen that pulled off 3 spoke wheels were

1) infiniti QX4

2) saab 900 (not sure which trim)

edit: add in the viper as someone else posted.

There are worse looking wheels than 3 spoke...

Not a fan of these. They look like cheap, plastic hubcaps, which defeats half the point of having alloy wheels.

Agreed. And they always seem to be 24” chrome examples on lifted 80s G-bodies.

I wanted these for my Mustang, but they’re metric for some reason and tires are ridiculously expensive to replace if you can even find the right size.

yeah... the 900 is a bit polarizing, and its far from my top 10. but i think the three spoke wheels do suit the overall design of the car.

Didn’t they do the same thing for the SVO?

There’s a pizza delivery driver here in town that drives an 84 GT350 hatchback.

Call me names if you will...but I always loved Borbet 3-spokes in the ‘90s.

Too each his own.

Even as a child of the 90s, I can’t say I ever found those attractive.

Those do look like something off of a toy truck.

Very “square peg in a round hole”.

Technically 6 again, but I dig the stock AW11 wheels.

You know, I hate almost all aftermarket alloy wheels, but I don’t hate those. Need tweaking to make them right, but they’re not too bad. Fucking stupid idea as far as functionality goes, though.

I saw a first-gen Yaris Verso the other day rocking what looked like a set of 12” or 13” knockoffs of those, and no other mods. I just stood there wondering why.

Three double spoked are stylistically and aesthetically 3 spokes, so I consider them to be three rather than six. for example, the best car ever made, the 92-96 ES300

That said, 3-spoke wheels are awesome

They don’t mount wheel weights on hubcaps.

I liked these the winter I had them. I craigslisted them for free with trade, and got rid of them the same way. essentially free wheels for ~6 months.
